We achieved our goal of $20,000 on Thursday evening. We will release our official number as soon as we collect all money and tally all outstanding expenses. However, we believe a fully funded Book Room for Shady Grove is in our future! We have already contacted Scholastic to expedite our purchase and are working with the administration and the teachers with regards to space planning, installation and maintenance.

Traffic Safety Reminder
Our front loop is a busy place in the mornings with parents and students arriving both in cars and on foot. Therefore, we ask drivers to focus their complete attention on maintaining safety for the children while on campus. This includes driving slowly around the loop, following the directions on the signage, and delaying cell phone use until you have exited the grounds. Thank you for your support!
Internet Safety
Mrs. Lisa Blouch, our Shady Grove Librarian and Teacher of the Year, gave an excellent presentation on internet safety during the parent coffee last Friday morning. Volunteer OpportunitiesIf you are looking for a way to volunteer, please visit the volunteer page and read about the many opportunities the PTA has to get everyone involved. Morning Drop-Off and School Store are great opportunities for working parents - just 30 minutes as many mornings as you care to, and it is done by 7:50 a.m.
