Welcome to the 2024-25 School Year! Please become a member of the PTA and consider making a donation to the PTA. Your contributions help us offer resources and programs that enhance your child's education and experience at SGES. We strive for 100% Membership.
Annual Giving Campaign
The SGES PTA is primarily funded by our families. Your donation will help fund this year’s activities without student-driven direct sales. The PTA supports your children directly through:
- Academic & School Enrichment: STEM program, Outdoor Classroom, Cultural Arts & Sciences Programs, etc.
- Subscriptions & resources for classroom learning
- Community Building (e.g. PTA sponsored family events such as the Cardnival, Trunk or Treat, Bingo Night, Cardinal Cultures Night, etc.)
- School Beautification projects and events such as mulching, weeding garden beds
- Volunteer and Hospitality Coordination: Office Helper, Room Parent/Guardians, etc.
- And more!
Annual PTA Membership
We suggest PTA Membership for each parent and welcome additional adult PTA Members such as grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc. Remember, PTA Memberships must be renewed each year, and you don't have to volunteer to be a PTA Member. Your membership shows support for what the PTA does here at SGES.
Each adult PTA member will
- Receive the twice-a-month PTA Blast email newsletter containing important information about PTA-sponsored school events and key information to help busy families stay up-to-date
- Have access to the discount programs offered by the National PTA

The suggested annual giving donation is $75 per student, but no amount is too big or too small!

Collecting pop tops (soda can tabs) is a great way to teach kids about philanthropy and the importance of recycling, as well as raise funds to help children and their families. Shady Grove has been collecting pop tops for Ronald McDonald House Charities for several years. Please collect pop tops and send them in with your child. The pop tops are a huge source of income for the wonderful charity! Thank you all for your continued support of this fabulous organization.
