Welcome Committee

The Shady Grove PTA would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone joining our Shady Grove Cardinal family this year. We are proud to support such a special school and strive to make it a great place to learn and grow. We know it can be a challenge to move to a new school, and we want to help make your family comfortable at Shady Grove Elementary School. The Welcome Committee hosts several meet ups throughout the school year at the SGES Cardinal Castle/playground for families and students to meet. Be on the lookout for date/time announcements throughout the year. 

If you haven't yet joined the PTA, make sure you do. When you join, you're automatically added to the email list for the "PTA Blast", a bi-weekly email. It will keep you in the loop for PTA announcements and upcoming events. 

We would like to encourage each of you to get involved by volunteering in the classroom or through one of our PTA committees.  We are glad to have whatever time and talents you would like to offer. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and get to know the school.  Please be sure to check out the Volunteers page of the website to learn how to volunteer at SGES.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.  We want to help find answers for you. No question is unimportant, because we know that informed parents who feel comfortable with the school can best support their children in reaching their full potential.
