Winter After School Enrichment Course Descriptions
We are excited to offer the following classes this season:
Indoor Soccer with Mr. Corbin Grades 2-5
Want to learn and play a fast paced, non-stop, soccer style game? This is just for you! No out-of-bounds, no throw-ins, no corner kicks…just play until a goal is scored! Polish up your soccer skills by participating in drills, soccer games, and a tournament. This will, for sure, be a fun time!
Creating with Clay with Ms. Coleman Grades 2-5
During this 4 week After School Enrichment session, we will be creating 3-4 hand built clay pieces. All pieces will be either finished with paint or glazes. Come and explore your creative side!
Just Crafting Around with Ms. Graves Grades 1-5
Let your creativity shine! Join in the fun and be prepared to make and create an awesome new craft each week to take home and enjoy. Supplies included.
Anything-But-Bored BOARD GAMES with Ms Koprowski Grades 2-5
Do you love gaming? If you want to be part of engaging fun that includes social interaction, learning, strategy and challenges, then this class is for you! It will focus on playing board and card games to stimulate creativity and imagination in cooperative/friendly competitive settings. Games that require focus and attention will extend auditory and visual attention, and offer life skills. Learning to communicate, cooperate and be patient are all important to game play. Students will leave the class with big smiles on their faces talking about that amazing or hilarious game they just played! Games will include Clue, Sequence, Incan Gold, Concept, Battleship, Sorry, Quirkle, Uno and More!
Slime Mania Island with Challenge Island® Grades 1-5
Are you slime crazy? Do you love making squishy, squeezy stuff? Then Challenge Island’s Slime Mania Island is the place for you! You and a tribe full of friends will dive into a new slime-filled world every day, from alien ooze to ghostly goo to monster muck to lava, too. No matter how you stretch it, Challenge Island® Slime Mania Island promises to be a STEAM-rific adventure of a lifetime!
Frostings and Fondant Class with Ms. Manning Grades 4-5
Have you ever wondered how bakers make frosting and decorate with fondant? Worry no more. Come learn how to make a simple buttercream frosting! You will ice and decorate cakes and cupcakes. The best part, you will be able to bring home and/or eat your decorated masterpieces! Supplies included.
Game On! With Principal Austin Grades 2-5
Have you ever wanted to throw a dodgeball at your principal? Of course you have! And now is your chance. Cardinals, if you are ready to compete with your friends in the most amazing mash up games you’ve ever played, then Admin-adventure is the class for you! Join Dr. Austin, Mr. Schatz, and Mrs. Marshall for INSANE combinations such as…Ninja Dodgeball, Battleship Chaos, Sling Shot Kickball and more! Don’t sign up for this class unless you have your “GAME ON!”
Beginning Sewing With Ms. Lynn Grades 2-5
Students will learn beginning sewing techniques. We will learn the basic functions of a sewing machine and complete simple projects.
